Content

In this 4-day course you will learn how to fulfil the role of an internal auditor. You will learn how to reliably determine the quality of the implementation and operationalisation of BC 5701. You will learn an appropriate approach for each area within BC 5701 (legal, technical and organisational). The aim is to enable you to provide the organisation with an objective and reliable view of the quality of its implementation and/or operationalisation of the BC 5701, thus contributing to the continuous improvement of the protection of personal data.

Training content

Differences between management system audits and product certification audits.
Differences between internal audits and certification audits.
Assessment of the different areas of BC 5701 (legal, technical and organisational).
The use of (external) specialists.
Critical audit aspects of BC 5701.
Audit plan and audit planning.
Recording audit findings and grading anomalies.
Reporting audit findings.

What this training does not cover

This course is not a full auditor training course. It assumes a basic knowledge of auditing management systems. The focus of this training is on the specific skills required to assess the implementation and/or performance of BC 5701. In addition, the training only touches marginally on the (inter)personal skills that are also required for the smooth running of an audit.

Staying up to date

Once you have attended the training, you will be invited to attend the expert sessions, which are held 1-2 times a year. These sessions discuss the latest developments in the BC 5701 and share insights from implementation processes and certification audits. This will keep you up to date and maintain the value of the training course.

Prior Knowledge

Successfully completed training BC 5701 Lead Implementer.

Assessment

You will complete the programme with a written exam. If you pass this exam, you will receive the official certificate ‘BC 5701 Lead Implementer’ and, if you wish, you will be added to the ‘BC 5701 Professionals register’ of the Brand Compliance and Piims Academy.

Workload

There will be no homework between classes. However, you should study ISO 19011 (Guidelines for conducting audits of management systems) before the first day of class.

Group size

This course takes place with a minimum of 8 participants. The maximum number of participants is 12, after which you can join the waiting list.
